Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in influence within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season are included.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the team reach areas they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
- Tyranny and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in search of Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Questers and Strategists parties.
