'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
