The star has handed over the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound honor cash to the MVT, which works to preserve the United Kingdom's independent concert spaces.
He was awarded the prize on mid-October as his new release his work was chosen as the top album of the past year.
He has decided to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in acknowledgment of the crucial part local spots played in his initial steps.
"I personally couldn't be pursuing my current career if it hadn't been for all the performances I did around the region, and further afield, when I was starting out," remarked Sam Fender. "These locations are iconic, but they are facing challenges."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these venues have permanently closed – roughly one-sixth of the total UK scene.
In the last year, top acts like Pulp, the group Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the Music Venues Trust in its efforts to support the industry, by including a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which benefits independent venues.
He also joined in, raising over £100k on his 2024 arena tour to assist 38 grassroots venues across Britain.
These funds assisted spaces that were dealing with potential shutdown due to challenges caused by flooding, fires and family tragedies, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and sound issues.
Some locations obtained funding support in upgrading infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted musicians and audiences.
"The notion that money from concerts in major spaces helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just sensible," Fender has commented.
He is among several artists to donate his honor prize money to good deeds.
When they received the prize in the year 1996 for their record Different Class, vocalist Jarvis Cocker stated that the group would give their cash to the charity the charity.
That year, rapper and singer she shared her award among a few good causes, like the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"I also gave a grand to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they needed better apparatus," Ms Dynamite explained to the media.
In recent years, the band contributed their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their act, in addition to other local music groups.
Also the 1994 recipients M People gave their award to a charity for MS after a friend was diagnosed the condition.
"Receiving the award was ample," stated singer Small. "The prize was the cherry on top but we didn't need the cherry, because we had the cake. So our success affected the lives of others."
In the past week, the MVT revealed it had saved a couple of small stages in south-east England, by bringing them into public stewardship.
One venue in the city and the other in the city were purchased under the public acquisition program, which is supported by Arts Council England and music fans who buy "stakes" in the properties.
